Week 6 1/2 :)

Hello everyone! Sorry I was too busy last Friday to blog. Last week was wonderful. We focused on the letter sound "t." We made the cutest trees for Fall, learned to write "t", had a very nice share day with things that started with "t", and ate tortilla chips and tasty tacos. We began our study of the human body with an emphasis on the skeletal system. The children loved the new puzzles and work! We also talked a lot about Fall and what happens in the Fall. We talked about our upcoming trip to the pumpkin patch and even made our own pumpkins using tissue paper and construction paper. They look great on our pumpkin patch wall :)

Friday afternoon before play time we had a lot of fun with music class. The band is really coming along and learning to play to different sound queues. This is developing a sense of rhythm in the children which helps them play with little help from me. After music class we all went outside and used our bones and muscles in a sequence of activities similar to an obstacle course. We then played red light/green light. We had a blast!

Great week!
